Key Management with the maxx 6U Key Box

With up to 64 slots, the maxx key box manages individual keys or entire key rings. These are attached to robust, so-called keyTag fobs with integrated RFID tags. Users authenticate themselves via RFID identification medium at a corresponding terminal and select which key they want to access. When returning the key, they authenticate themselves or the key again and put it back into the maxx together with the keyTag. All 3U keyPanels of the flexx series can be installed in the keybox.

Removals and returns are registered in the Commander Connect software, which also manages access rights - this way it is always transparent which key is currently where and who last had access.

Laundry Management via an RFID Room Solution

Objectives: To Improve Logistics, Equipment and Reduce Shrinkage Content: Until recently, the largest hospital in the Nordland region in northern Norway had massive difficulties in laundry management. In this presentation, Martin Hartwigsen from deister electronic will explain the nature of these problems and present the solution that deister electronic has implemented. The central element of this is the introduction of a room solution with an RFID-based access and identification system. This led directly to an improvement in logistics and the provision of work clothing for employees. Shrinkage and loss of laundry have been drastically reduced, as has the amount of textile waste. Improved Textile Management in Northern Norway

Nordland Hospital Nordland Hospital Tackles Laundry Problem With RFID Solution by Deister Electronic. In the sparsely populated Nordland region in northern Norway, emergency care for the patients is provided by ambulances, boats and helicopters. Inpatient treatment takes place in three hospitals with a total of 485 beds. Every day, around 700 employees have to be provided with fresh work clothes. To optimize the distribution of work clothes, the hospital decided to install a central room solution with an RFID-based access and identification system in 2021.
