Zero Defect Policy

ALT Technologies pursues a strict zero defect policy. Production lines are monitored closely so as to detect errors as soon as they arise. The RFID labels themselves undergo quality control at every step of the production process to make sure that only fully-performing labels reach the customers’ facilities. “Within the automotive industry, this is very important”, says Jelmer Sminia, Global Product Development Manager at ALT Technologies. “The RFID label stores data on the part origins, manufacturing date, tolerance and so on. Only if the label performs, are parts fully traceable throughout the production line and supply chain. This is why we also want to avoid adhesive failure, so we control for that, too.”

Current Market Standard: Meeting Customer Requirements

ALT Technologies converts base materials and components into ready-to-use applications according to their customers’ specifications. From EV battery materials to on-metal RFID labels and printed electronics, the company’s production lines are capable of producing fully customized parts. ALT Technologies also aids its customers in process and product optimisation; for example, for automatic dispensing and seamless product line integration. Therefore perfecting the application to the degree of improving the customer’s production automation. “We also perform extra quality checks for our customers”, explains Jelmer Sminia. “If a customer needs to use a label in a specific short application, we can run an extra check on that for the customer.”

How ALT Technologies Ensures 100 % Performing Car Parts
