Stock accuracy of almost 100 % achieved
Cloud-based UHF RFID application reduces the temporal inventory effort by more than 90 percent. The purchasing behavior of customers today poses complex demands. Customers want the Store-in-a-Pocket. That means: more online services.
Charlotte den Heijer, Merchandise Planner & RFID Team Member, America Today, in an interview with RFID & Wireless IoT Global!

The basis is an inventory accuracy of almost 100 percent. The road to achieving this is via an RFID solution. 90 Percent of articles of the America Today's home brand are tagged during production.
No Omnichannel without RFID
To make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible for customers, the Dutch fashion retailer wants to create omnichannel offers. These include ideas such as "Ship from Store" or "Click and Reserve". The necessary step in this direction is the generation of accurate stocks in real-time. With an inventory interval of two years, this objective has been out of reach for years.
The company therefore decided to install an RFID solution in all 70 stores in 2018. 90 % of America Today's home brand articles are now tagged during production. Employees in the incoming goods department label remaining non-tagged delivered goods as they arrive. Every product in the shop is equipped with RFID labels.
