Building Management with RFID Reader a811 in Turkey

The Turkish government required a building management solution that could provide them with data on the condition of the building to facilitate predictive maintenance. In a project with the Turkish government, Apulsetech provided its a811 RFID reader as an all-in-one solution.

“The a811 is a smart RFID reader with optional features including an integrated 2D barcode scanner, GPS capabilities, a camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. For the building management project in Turkey, GPS functionality was required alongside the RFID system, which made a811 best suited for the application,” says explains Christy Cho.

Also part of the solution was the BKS – a cloud-based IoT platform in Turkey that is used to identify buildings with unique certificates, such as the IDePLATE – RFID embedded plates. The BKS also records and provides access to all data related to the building via web-based or mobile applications via the platform using the Apulsetech a811.

The buildings in Turkey are equipped with RFID panels with an integrated NXP chip. These panels capture information about the condition of the building and can be read by the a811. Staff members can easily check the condition of the building and access the data they require with an RFID system provided by Apulsetech.

Apulsetech also provides fixed readers to the a global whiskey company based in Tokyo, Japan. The whiskey company needed a clear overview of all beverage transportation vehicles in order to control a barrel management system. The system that packs whiskey in barrels and carries it to an automated warehouse on a conveyor for management is epoch-making in Japan and probably the first in the world. Whiskey is stored for up to 40 years and aged. Apulsetech provided the Japanese company with its fixed UHF RFID reader a312 for this application.

“The a312 can read up to 200 tags at a reading range of up to 25m. This made the a312 suitable for vehicle tracking in large yards. The Japanese whiskey company is now able to control and view the location of each transportation vehicle in real-time,” says Christy Cho.

With similar projects being in development, Apulsetech continues to expand its reach overseas.
