Identification, Securing and Serialization of Cables for Industrial Applications!
The RFID hardware specialist B-Id extends its product offering with a new RFID cable transponder: the CBT 1818. This enables identification and tracking of cables in harsh environments.
With over 20 years of experience in the production of RFID hardware, B-Id consults customers in order to choose the ideal cable transponder for every application.
PVC Housing Offers Maximum Protection
The new RFID cable transponder CBT1818 has been designed for use in outdoor applications or harsh environments. The PVC housing is shock-absorbing, waterproof, and UV-resistant. The RFID chip on the inside is protected from harsh environmental conditions.
“A key feature of the cable transponder CBT1818 is its robustness”, explains Erhard König, Sales Manager, B-Id. “The housing is made from a soft, but highly durable PVC material that absorbs heavy shocks. A protective layer inside the transponder offers additional protection for the RFID component.”
The transponder functions at temperatures between -20°C and 70°C and is available in LF and HF frequency variants.
RFID Cable Transponders Increase Process Security
A total of 8 different cable transponders are part of the B-Id product portfolio and are available in LF, HF and UHF frequencies. The transponders combine the advantages of a regular cable tie with the RFID technology. The precise sorting, tracking and identification of cables is enabled.
The product portfolio includes both reusable and single-use transponders. The latter are unusable after being removed from a tagged object. The re-application of these transponders on another component is prevented.
