Antennas installed in the RFID tunnel quickly and reliably identify tagged objects passing through individually or in batches. Via the RFID middleware, processed information about the type, location and time is transferred to the existing IT system. So-called RFID checkpoints can be used to solve smaller detection tasks that work with shorter communication intervals.
If, for example, the transponder of a container is detected, RFID transmits the complete data record with location (reader and antenna number), container number (EPC from data carrier), contents and the date of detection (time stamp from middleware) to the company's internal ERP. The elimination of barcode scanning times, the avoidance of errors, and the smooth integration into existing machine controls (PLC) allow mistakes to be avoided and increase productivity.
