The Proton is a robust reader in a compact form factor (W131 × L106 × H50 mm3) that can be powered by a 12V or 24V battery. These features make the Proton well suited for vehicle mount applications, especially for industrial vehicles like forklifts, trucks or AGVs.
Suitable for Harsh Environments
The Proton is a reader designed to work in industrial or outdoor environments. In addition to the robust enclosure for mechanical protection, it is waterproof and protected from the dust (IP65) making it the ideal choice to realize RAIN RFID gates or tunnels for inventory, tracking or sorting applications inside the factories.
Long-Range Outdoor Installation
Thanks to the IP65 protection grade, the Proton RAIN RFID reader is suitable for outdoor applications. Supporting up to 4 antennas at the maximum allowed power, the reader can be used for long range applications like parking access control, outdoor identification gates or checkpoints in freight yards.
