Deutsche Telekom Presents NB-IoT & Co at Think WIOT Day

Livestream Conference "Knowledge for Retailers" on February 17th!

Reducing process costs, developing new business models and making good use of digitization opportunities: How tracking and sensor solutions support retail!

With just-in-time supply chains, asset tracking and smart sensor technology in stores, digitization in retail is being driven forward. The greater the control a retailer and its logistics network have over all processes, the more accurately and resiliently the business will run. Sounds simple – and it certainly can be when it comes to practical implementation.

19 Mar 2024 - Livestream: Unlocking the Power of IoT in Logistics

Into a Digital Future with the Internet of Things (IoT)

Ralf Schikiera, Head of IoT Solution Sales Large/Medium Enterprise Segment, Deutsche Telekom, will be presenting ways in which IoT retailers can digitize their processes on February 17th from 13:00 CET. It's all about efficiency, resilience and new, digital business models.

NB-IoT, WiFi, Sensor Technology and More – IoT for Retail & Logistics

Together with logistics company CHEP, Deutsche Telekom has implemented a tracking solution – based on sensor-based NB-IoT trackers. Promotional campaigns in supermarkets can be monitored in almost real time. Captured data is made available via a cloud platform. This is retail in 2021 – and it's just one application among many that can benefit companies in the retail industry.

Automate Processes, Digitalize Business Models

IoT-based applications not only simplify supply chain processes, but can also fully automate them. The benefit: increased transparency for all parties involved in the process. Where are the ordered goods? One click is all it takes to track all deliveries in almost real time. Integrated sensor technology in the load carrier expands the data horizon of "where" and "when" to include "how".

What is the current condition of the transported goods? Do the ambient temperature and humidity correspond to the specifications? Were there any falls or strong vibrations during transport?
