The company is focusing on further growth for the current year. Together with long-standing partners, they are developing new, integrated solutions that are optimally geared to each customer’s needs, from analysis to integration.
The company set the course for further growth last year. New appointments were made to key positions and they continued their drive towards increasing internationalization.
Robert Helgerth, CEO of ELATEC, discussed the company’s goals for 2021: “In the RFID market, world-class expertise and outstanding service are crucial. Continually developing employees and partners is therefore always a priority. Over the next year, however, we are placing particular emphasis on these tasks. This includes expanding our teams and recruiting new talent. In addition, we will expand our product portfolio in 2021.”
Expanding Product Portfolio
As a leading global manufacturer, ELATEC’s products are found across many industries and fields of application. In addition, the company is a driver in the development of innovative applications for digitalization. In 2021, they will expand the product families for various application areas—for example, physical access control and single sign-on. With its future-oriented RFID solutions, the company offers customers maximum security and flexibility.
With the new ELATEC Systems GmbH, the company is very well positioned in this area.
Further developments and product range extensions are also planned for mobile authentication solutions. Through successful cooperation with partners, ELATEC offers highly specialized solutions in this business field.
Increasing Software Expertise and Expanding Product Range
Software is continuously gaining importance in RFID technology. ELATEC has therefore significantly expanded its capabilities. With Eddy van den Broek, who has been Global Head of Development since November 2020, the company has gained an expert who will push development forward and set new agendas.
He makes it clear: “Software development is about experience and strategic competence. ELATEC has cutting-edge know-how in both areas. This puts us in an excellent position to further develop firmware and software offerings and to present new, forward-looking solutions.”
Areas of Growth in the Software Sector
- With its firmware and configuration software, ELATEC occupies a top position in the market. They are constantly further developing their software and adding new features for increased flexibility. In this way, ELATEC offers the solutions that customers need for their demanding projects.
- Software solutions will be offered in the future using a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Their high flexibility makes these solutions very attractive for customers, and ELATEC plans to further expand these services.
- Finally, all application areas will be strengthened by new software and mobile solutions. New functionalities will enhance their offerings, such as the management and distribution of access authorizations via mobile devices for physical access control and single sign-on, among other applications.
Increasing Service, Continuing Internationalization
For 2021, further internationalization is on ELATEC’s agenda. In the USA, a new sales unit was launched in Arizona in January 2021. Production capacities in the country will be expanded in the course of the year. Products for the US market can thus be delivered more quickly, even with increasing demand. ELATEC has also continued to develop the Asian markets in Japan and Singapore.
For the company, service includes sharing expertise with customers and partners in order to develop products that are optimally geared to demand. To be able to pass on and share know-how on a larger scale than before, ELATEC is working on a new platform, the ELATEC Academy. Here, partners acquire knowledge on the fundamentals of RFID and exchange ideas with the company’s stakeholders in order to meet complex customer requirements even better and to further increase product and service quality.
