TWN4 Slim to Support LEGIC Connect!
Elatec is adding support for LEGIC technology to its space-saving TWN4 Slim multi-standard RFID reader. The new TWN4 Slim LEGIC product variant opens up new authentication options for users with LEGIC Connect.

Elatec introduced the TWN4 Slim universal RFID reader in 2020. Its elegant and flat design, with dimensions smaller than a credit card, makes it suitable for many applications, especially for uses with limited space. This makes it ideal for industrial applications, but also for use in the office—for example, in secure printing solutions.
Now, Elatec is turning its multi-standard RFID reader into a specialized solution for LEGIC technology. The LEGIC Connect software service enables the transfer of authorizations or other data to registered smartphones. In the future, users will be able to authenticate themselves with both the LEGIC Card and the LEGIC App. Elatec relies on the LEGIC Chip SM-6300 with its extended functions.
This gives existing system infrastructures additional options. Through the combination of TWN4 Slim and LEGIC Connect, smartphones of LEGIC app users can now also take over important functions—for example, as door openers or time recorders. Thanks to its space-saving design, the TWN4 Slim is also ideal in secure printing. This makes both the infrastructure and its use even more flexible.
