Laundry Management via an RFID Room Solution

Objectives: To Improve Logistics, Equipment and Reduce Shrinkage Content: Until recently, the largest hospital in the Nordland region in northern Norway had massive difficulties in laundry management. In this presentation, Martin Hartwigsen from deister electronic will explain the nature of these problems and present the solution that deister electronic has implemented. The central element of this is the introduction of a room solution with an RFID-based access and identification system. This led directly to an improvement in logistics and the provision of work clothing for employees. Shrinkage and loss of laundry have been drastically reduced, as has the amount of textile waste.
