With the introduction of almost three million NFC-enabled Vision Smart Labels in 243 stores in Belgium and Luxembourg, Colruyt is reducing paper consumption and eliminating the need for weekly label changes. Process Requirements
A Colruyt Lowest Price branch needs about 13,000 price tags per year. Of these, 4,000 have to be changed weekly. Around 90 million tons of paper are required to produce the approximately 75 million price tags. Colruyt's goal is to guarantee all customers that every product is offered at the lowest price at all times.

With the transition to electronic labels, including NFC interface and integrated LED display, immediate reactions to unplanned price changes are possible spontaneously and promptly.
