New RFID Products in Prototype Development!
FlexiRay was founded in 2005. Since then, the UHF RFID specialist from the Czech Republic has been manufacturing ultra-thin antennas. An expansion of the product portfolio is planned for 2022. A new UHF RFID antenna and a UHF RFID reader from FlexiRay are in prototype development.
New UHF RFID Antenna and Reader Announced
FlexiRay's antennas are 3 millimeters thin. More robust antennas are available with a thickness of 14 millimeters. All antennas are available in four different lengths from 10cm to 1m. The objective: despite material and semiconductor shortages, a new ultra-thin UHF RFID antenna is to be launched before the end of 2022.
"The plan is to complete prototype development of the new UHF RFID antenna in 2022. ", explains Miroslav Jakšik, Managing Director at FlexiRay. "However, this is complicated due to supply bottlenecks. It is very likely that the new antenna will be presented in October at the Wireless IoT tomorrow 2022 in Wiesbaden, Germany. The development of the UHF RFID reader has not yet progressed to the same extent."
R&D Carried Out 100% in the Czech Republic
FlexiRay works closely with partners in the supply chain as well as in product testing. Suppliers and distributors are mainly present in North America and Europe. One hundred percent of R&D, on the other hand, is carried out in the Czech Republic.
"FlexiRay cooperates, for example, with a 3D prototyping specialist. After the prototype is developed, product assembly takes place," explains Miroslav Jakšik. "A Czech university is also a partner of FlexiRay where we are cooperate with their radio laboratory. The FlexiRay antennas are tested there before they go into mass production."
