Tags, Beacons and RFID Handheld Readers from HID Global at #wiottomorrow21
"At booth #20 HID will present a selection of RFID components like tags, beacons and handheld readers", explains Richard Aufreiter, VP Marketing, HID Global. "This will include samples from our new colleagues Omni-ID and Textile Services as well. In my business area alone, we have more than 5,000 part numbers. We only show a selection at the exhibition, but is important to understand that HID has much more to offer than what fits into a booth."
The new products on display live in Wiesbaden include:
- The new, ATEX certified PolyTag which is a flame-resistant, rugged disk especially designed to work in potentially explosive environments.
- The LinTRAK-XS, one of the tiniest RAIN RFID laundry tags on the market, which needs only ~25% of the space of traditional UHF laundry tags. It allows very discreet placement that does not disturb the wearer, for example for nursing home or personal clothes.
- TSL readers and Omni-ID RAIN RFID tags, including new Sense Magnus passive tags and labels, for temperature sensing in datacenter and other applications. The Omni-ID IOT sensor portfolio is supporting GPS and LoRaWan for outdoor location services. "For indoor applications, HID has recently added certified support for Aruba wireless access points, to enable location services for existing Aruba installations in enterprises or hospitals quickly from day one", explains Richard Aufreiter.
Conference Highlight: Two Lectures by HID Global Experts
HID Global is taking part in the conference with two lectures on October 20th.
"The RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow has historically been our major event in Europe", says Richard Aufreiter. "A RFID and WIOT centric show like this is the best place to network with other industry players and potential customers. Personally, I look forward to speaking in front of a live audience again."
Richard Aufreiter will be one of the speakers for HID Global at the live conference with the lecture "Will it last? 10 Best Practices on RFID and IoT Services for Harsh Environments" on October 20th at 12:00 CEST, explaining which standards and properties of RFID make it work in harsh environments.
Also on October 20th at 12:40 CEST, Guido Kuhrmann, Sales Director DACH RFID & IIoT, HID Global, will give a lecture titled "Utilizing RFID and Cloud Solutions to Optimize Linen Flows for Hospitality & Healthcare". Guido Kuhrmann will speak about the challenges for linen management in hospitality and healthcare and explain how a combination of RFID and a cloud solution can improve linen flow while reducing overall costs.
Both lectures are being held live in the RheinMain CongressCenter Wiesbaden and available via livestream on the RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow VIRTUAL as well and followed by virtual round table sessions with HID experts on the respective lecture topics.
"With the participation in 2021 we are happy to leave the COVID-19 lockdown times behind and interact in real-life with prospects and partners again - with proper COVID security measures in place of course", says Richard Aufreiter. "We are hoping for a large attendance and lots of interesting discussions."
