Devices with CANbus Interfaces Designed for Machine and Vehicle Controls!
The RFID hardware specialist iDTRONIC has optimized the UHF RFID devices of the BLUEBOX product series. These include the BLUEBOX UHF readers as well as the BLUEBOX UHF CS controllers. The UHF RFID devices are particularly suitable for identification tasks in industrial applications, for example in machine and vehicle control systems.

With the product optimization, iDTRONIC expands the application areas of the BLUEBOX series to meet customer requirements for industrial RFID applications even more effectively.
Connecting Machine and Vehicle Controls with UHF RFID
The UHF RFID devices of the BLUEBOX product series are characterized by a compact design, IP67 protection class and CANbus interfaces (CANopen or SAE J1939). Due to these features, the devices are particularly suitable for identification tasks, for example on agricultural machinery, municipal vehicles and construction machinery, or within logistics, robotics or assembly line production. Vehicle or add-on parts as well as containers are identified by the devices via RFID.
Devices Adapted to New Customer Requirements
iDTRONIC is constantly developing its existing products, including the BLUEBOX product line, explains Patrick Kochendörfer, Senior Product Manager, iDTRONIC. "Over the last two years, extensive upgrades have been made to the products. Particularly in industrial applications, customer requirements are changing, for example with regard to the reading ranges of the devices. In special vehicle construction, small designs and reading ranges of 30 to 40 centimeters are required, while in other applications these are between three and four meters."
"Compact devices with a special industrial interface are in demand for industrial applications," says Kochendörfer and continues: "The goal is to optimize the BLUEBOX devices for these and offer variable read ranges and antenna configurations."

The market launch of the optimized BLUEBOX UHF RFID devices is planned for the end of 2022.
