iDTRONIC presents new HEAVY DUTY RFID TAGS

Accurate Identification of goods in potentially explosive environments

Harsh environments require robust and secure RFID solutions. The influence of dust, water or even fire is a challenge for many devices.

The new Heavy Duty RFID Tags from iDTRONIC have been specially developed for this type of application.

The RFID Tags withstands outdoor environments with metals, chemicals, high temperatures or large amounts of water without any problems. They are ATEX compatible, passive-oriented and are characterized by a long-life-cycle.

The accurate identification of the Heavy Duty RFID Tags is possible with an RFID Reader, which supports the Standard EPC Global Class1Gen2 ISO/IEC 18000-6C.

Robust: Armored RFID UHF Tag

The Armored RFID UHF Tag (Dimensions: 61 × 54 mm) consist of robust High-Temperature Ceramic Filler Material and has a weight of 150 g. Thanks to the IP68 Protection Class it is suitable for cold and hot temperature environments ranging from - 50 to + 400 °C. It supports ISO 17665 and ISO 11135 and is resistant against direct UV radiation and chemicals like saltwater, sulphates and motor oils.

The Armored RFID UHF Tag is available in the global RFID UHF Frequency 860 - 960 MHz and supports the Standard EPC Global Class1Gen2 ISO/IEC 18000-6C. In real environmental conditions, the RFID tag achieves a high reading range of up to 2 meters. The integrated Chip Impinj Monza X-8K Dura offers storage capacity for up to 128 bytes of data.

The Armored RFID UHF Tag is equipped with two pre-drilled holes and is mountable on any surface with M4 Screws. Alternatively, the RFID tag can be welded onto metal returnable containers, metal canisters or metal pallets. Especially in the oil industry on ships, RFID UHF tags secure importantmaterials with necessary data. The correct identification of usable and used goods can be ensured and reliably recorded by these UHF tags.

Compact: High Temp RFID UHF Tags

The High Temp RFID UHF Tags are available in two different versions.

The BT-1HT consists of robust extremely high temperature resin with ceramic filler and the BT-3HT of high temperature nylon. Both versions are extremely light and having a weight of only 36 g (BT-1HT) and 43 g (BT-3HT).

Thanks to the IP68 Protection Class they are suitable for cold and hot temperature environments ranging from - 50 to + 300 °C. The High Temp RFID UHF Tags support the Standards ISO 17665 and ISO 11135 and are resistant against direct UV radiation and chemicals like saltwater, sulphates and motor oils.

They are available in the global RFID UHF Frequency (EU: 865 - 869 MHz | US: 902 - 928 MHz) and support the Standard EPC Global Class1Gen2 ISO/IEC 18000-6C. In real environmental conditions, the RFID tag achieves a high reading range of up to 2 meters.

The RFID tags are standard equipped with the Alien Higgs 3 ™ chip and have a data storage capacity of 128 bytes. The memory is expandable to 512 bytes (for the BT-1HT version). The BT-1HT Version is optionally available with an NXP UCODE G2XM or Impinj Monza4QT (up to 240 Bytes) chip. The BT-3HT is also available as an EM4325 Version (352 Bytes).

The High Temp RFID UHF Tags can be mounted in different ways. The BT-1HT Version can be screwed and welded on. The BT-3HT Version can only be screwed on. They are very well suited for the chemical industry. The lightness and compact dimensions of the RFID tags allow them to be mounted on any metal pipes, valves, hoists, chains, lifting straps, metal returnable containers, metal canisters or metal pallets.
