The new FW 3.11 for the RFID Reader from Kathrein Solutions is available!
The new Kathrein RFID Reader firmware is now available.
The following features and functions have been added:
- Secure login with admin or user authorisation
- Improvement of the read properties with the parameter "Cut-off-Time"
- General stability improvement
Admin or User Authorisation
Whereas it was previously only possible to log into the Linux part of Kathrein Reader with the admin account, it is now also possible to create a user account with limited user rights. This means that it is now possible to grant the user read access to the Linux without also having write access.
Cut-Off Time
When reading a lot of transponders, it can happen that the reader remains "stuck" on an antenna for a long time, because new transponders are always coming into the field. However, if these new tags are not important for the process, they slow down the reader. Due to the defined cut-off time, the reader changes the antenna after a defined time and thus detects the desired transponders 100%. The wrong tags that do not belong to the process are downgraded in priority and not read.
The SW update consists of 3 packages and can be downloaded here
