Target of the AirCar development is to achieve full functionality as both a plane and a car, without compromising on fulfulling one role over the other. The AirCar features advanced lightweight materials and a special geometry to achieve a performance suitable for both land and air travel. A patented mechanism enables a switch between plane mode and car mode in two and a half minutes.
The AirCar is intended as a solution for a future in which less surface area has to be made available for roads as mobility moves from land-based transportation to individual air travel, allowing more room for agriculture or housing. Stefan Klein will explain the development of the AirCar prototype, its potential to change the future of transportation and the greater effects of changing individual mobility.
