“Third Millennium’s RXseries readers are pioneering a clear trend towards access control based on smartphone app in addition to smartcards.” said John Harvey, Head of BU Access Control at LEGIC, “The increased convenience, over-the-air access for credential updating, biometric security and long-distance operation of smartphones provide distinct advantages – plus people seldom forget their smartphones when they go out.”

The contactless readers support Bluetooth® Low Energy as well as LEGIC advant®, MIFARE® and MIFARE® DESFire® technology. Thanks to the LEGIC Connect mobile credentialing platform, RXseries readers are compatible with Third Millennium’s iOS and Android Mobile Apps while providing end-to-end security, worldwide availability, and simple integration with existing infrastructure.
