The precision parts and surface finishes for the production systems are manufactured in three production locations by the subsidiary Mühlbauer Precision Parts, which guarantees fastest reaction times and highest flexibility when it comes to special needs for a customer project.
Mühlbauer holds high market shares in the chip attach (90-95%), conversion (30-40%) and personalization (50-60% in the high-volume range) sectors. Close cooperation with chip manufacturers and continuous R&D are part of the company's strategy.

"Over 400 engineers work in the R&D area. This corresponds to about ten percent of the number of employees," explains Magdalena Rupprecht. "Every year, Mühlbauer invests around 20 million euros in new innovation areas, infrastructure and the supply chain."
