The Electronic Wool Bale As of July 2023, all new wool packs in Australia have been equipped with an eBale tag. In cooperation with HID, the Australian Wool Exchange (Awex) has implemented an RFID system to protect wool bale integrity and traceability. The RFID tags are attached to each wool bale and contain a unique identifier that can be read by RFID readers. The implementation of the RFID system is a major step forward for the Australian wool industry. It will help to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and security of the supply chain, and it will ultimately benefit wool growers, processors, and consumers. Safety for Hospital Staff WITH BLE AND RTLS Mayo Clinic deployed a mobile solution for emergency situations based on BluFi, BLE and RTLS technology at its hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. To protect employees from violent or threatening situations, and to avoid calling out patients and their families, 7,000 employees on the Rochester campus of Mayo Clinic received a badge. This badge is equipped with an emergency button and an integrated BLE beacon. In the event of a critical situation, each employee can be located so that help can be provided immediately.
