HF Read/Write Head for Tire Manufacturing

HF Read/Write Head for Tire Manufacturing

The tag at the bobbin can be identified at any position within the read head

The IQH1-F198-V1 HF read/write head is the result of a client-specific project and was developed for use in cap strip and tire building machines in tire manufacturing.

A ring-shaped HF read/write head was created as the optimum solution so that the bobbin fixture can be put through the read/write head and the RFID tag is always positioned within the reading range of the reader.

This product shows Pepperl+Fuch’s ability to respond flexibly, quickly and successfully to customer wishes and to implement new products together with the customer.

On the Way to Industry 4.0 with 5G

5G-ACIA Task Force Gets to Work. In a world of connected plants and machines that communicate with each other, fast data connections are needed to make such scenarios possible in the first place. The coming 5G mobile communication generation is of critical importance, because present communications standards cannot fulfill the requirements of industrial applications. To define the standards of this mobile communication generation and ensure suitability for automation, the “5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation” (5G-ACIA) task force was founded on April 3, 2018 at the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturer’s Association (ZVEI). Pepperl+Fuchs, a manufacturer of industrial automation technology, is also part of this initiative and is working together with 32 other members to prepare 5G for industrial use.

RFID Handhelds for Hazardous and Industrial Areas

Convenient Hose Maintenance in Hazardous and Industrial Areas. Among giant tanks and conveyor systems in chemical plants, thousands of hoses transport process media from point A to point B. Substances can include gas, oil, water, steam, and a range of chemicals. To ensure that these media are safely transported, legally defined regulations are in place for maintenance cycles of industrial and chemical hoses. RFID handhelds from Pepperl+Fuchs and ecom, paired with application-specific software developed by Neoception, make these maintenance tasks convenient and efficient.
