ADVANCING PATIENT CARE with Real-Time Location Solutions

RTLS & RFID In Healthcare Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, also known as known as "The Trust", has carried out what is believed to be the largest deployment of RFID for RTLS in healthcare in Europe. Over 72,000 items have already been tagged with industrial RFID tags. Every week, 2,700 sterile trays are tagged. Over 640 fixed RFID readers and more than 400 antennas have been installed at the two main sites, Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital in Yorkshire, England. 320 mobile computers enable tracking of hospital items and patient property.
