3 locating modes for the perfect precision, UWB also for outdoor use
Localization applications always focus on two parameters. The localization accuracy and frequency. There are applications that require precise position detection. In this case, the end position of a movement is detected with high accuracy. This is mainly used for movements in the warehouse or in production. The alternative is a permanent acquisition of the travel distance, with somewhat less accurate intermediate values, but which allows a fast evaluation of the travel distance or the travel area (heat map). This mode is mainly used when switching between certain detection areas, e.g. for movements from production to the warehouse. Since these two modes may not be used outdoors in all countries, Kathrein has introduced the Angle of Arrival mode for this application. All three modes are supported by the K-RTLS solution from Kathrein Solutions.
