An NFC tag in leather suits from Mass Sports Germany supports first responders at the scene of an accident!
Racing driver, leather suit entrepreneur and Deputy Production Manager in the RFID transponder industry – triple multi-talent Kevin Pohl uses his experience from all three areas for an innovative solution that can save the lives of motorcyclists and racing drivers.
In an interview with RFID & Wireless IoT Global, Kevin Pohl reports on how his path to becoming a successful scooter racer – his vita includes two championship titles in the European Scooter Trophy – and on the goals he and his brother have set themselves to increase safety on roads and race tracks.
Fully Customizable Leather Suits with Technical Finesse
Together with his brother Alexander, Kevin Pohl founded a company in Cologne about two years ago and, under the name Mass Sports Germany, organizes the development, production and distribution of individually designed and adapted leather suits for the two-wheeler sector.
Protectors, Airbags... What Else is there in Terms of Safety?
"With a full set of protectors and an optional integrated airbag system, we reach the limit of what is possible in a leather suit to support the best possible protection of the driver.
On the development side, the following question arose at our competence center: 'What else can we integrate beyond these features to achieve an even higher level of safety? That was the starting point for the development of an NFC-based solution for the fastest possible information of first responders," reports Kevin Pohl in retrospect.
