High-Tech Card Encoding Systems „MADE IN GERMANY”

Product Highlights in the Magnetic and RFID Card Sector

1. CS-DOD: Piezoelectric DOD Printer

The thermal drop-on-demand (DOD) monochrome printing system for variable data uses state-of-the-art piezoelectric technology and forms an important printing accessory for the Rinas MagStripe, RFID and smart card encoding solutions. The DOD monochrome thermal printer unit is available with a choice of ink types to match the ID-1 paper or plastic media.

Comprehensive software is used to perform layout design and data handling for highly economical and intuitive personalization tasks. Features include: Low ink alarm, numerous fonts, 1D and 2D codes, graphics integration and a label creation software program.

Combined with RFID, magnetic and chip encoding modules, the result is a very powerful perso. machine with a throughput of up to 15,000 cph. Scanners for optical inspection of the printed data round off the machine’s concept. The application of labels /tags is also possible "inline". Fully integrated software solutions for bespoke applications can be offered, but areas such as RFID encoding can also be outsourced.

2. CS-LWR: Compact Perso Machine

The encoding system personalizes and reads all three card types (RFID, magnetic and chip) and consists of a card separator and a card stacker, and the LWR encoder. Scan and printer extensions are also available. The hardware achieves a throughput of up to 3,500 cph, although the speed depends on the chosen modules and, in the case of RFID in particular, on the amount of data and chip technology being used.

The high-resolution monochrome thermal printer can print up to 600 dots per inch. A flip module is available for two-sided printing so that the card can be completely personalized in a single pass. If required, the Rinas management software can take care of all the data handling, job management and configuration of the various encoding settings. Data access to a CSV file or database, for example, is possible. Alternatively, the Rinas software can also communicate interactively with bespoke customer software so that, for example, RFID encoding and data handling are carried out by the customer himself. The transfer of data (e.g. UID) at runtime allows this data to be printed.

3. RFE: Continuous Encoding Machine

The RFE encoding machine is designed for the personalization of continuous or prepunched tickets in various lengths and widths. All common RFID standards can be implemented, and magnetic coding according to ISO7811 HICO and LOCO is also possible as an alternative. Up to four print heads can be connected to the print controller simultaneously and, flexibility of design, permits up to four cartridge holders to be mounted on both sides.

The scan module checks the printed data for readability and forwards the result to the PC software for further processing. Using the UID and the previous scan data, a check is made to see whether the print matches the ticket. If the print is illegible, for example, the ticket can be deleted. Faulty tickets can be marked visually on the front or back of the ticket using a marker pen.

4. CS-SWR: Magnetic Card Encoding System

Data security, minimal space requirements, high encoding quality and durability – all-in-one magnetic card encoding system. The CS-SWR is designed to process both thin paper and thicker plastic cards. This is made possible by the use of different card separators and the SWR's flexibility.

In addition, the read data can be sent to the software and collected for complete logging. Up to 6,000 cards can be separated and encoded per hour. Of course, the encoding system can also be expanded to include an RFID or chip station or even a print module. The throughput will then depend on the encoding, scanning and printing processes required by the application.
