Modular Printer for Card Personalization Solutions!
The Rinas thermal drop-on-demand (DOD) variable data monochrome printing system utilizes state-of-the-art piezoelectric technology and forms an important print accessory to the Rinas range of MagStripe, RFID and Smart Card encoding solutions.
The modular setup allows the DOD-printer to be integrated into card personalization solutions together with the CS-LWR or CS-SWR universal encoders by Rinas.
DOD Module Designed for Continuous Printing
The DOD printing module is used for final personalization of cards with printed elements such as special images, barcodes, logos and fonts. The DOD can achieve a throughput of up to 15,000 cards per hour, with a typical print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and a maximum resolution of 600 x 1,200 dpi. Printing is possible on all colors of cards, transparent cards and embossed cards (on request) of either PVC, ABS, PET or paper.
The DOD includes an ink shortage alarm system as well as heater elements built into the print heads that stabilize the fluid temperature and also features a unique ink channel design. A constant supply of ink is provided while blockages and downtimes are minimized. The print heads last between three and five years.
