SAG Highlights RFID Competencies with Expansion of Production Capacities and New Success Stories
RFID expert SAG has been manufacturing a wide range of RFID products for 20 years: This includes labels and inlays, tags, keyfobs, sensor tags, cards and customized solutions. The focus is especially on RFID applications in industry, healthcare and the automotive sector. In the future, production capacity will be increased even further: the construction of the new main site is scheduled for completion as early as December 2022. At the same time, SAG is focusing on a new marketing strategy, including a new website. Jasmine Shih, Marketing Director at SAG, explains the background to the new strategy in an interview.

What goals is SAG pursuing with the construction of the new site?
Jasmine Shih: As an RFID tag solution provider, SAG continues to grow. We solve concrete problems for customers and face challenges from different industries. This is why an expanded production capacity is needed. The expansion will allow us to double our value-added capacity to US$100 million.
What role does sustainability play for SAG?
Shih: Further sustainable production processes are already being tested. The energy required for this is generated from solar power. In addition, alternative, more environmentally friendly resources are being used. These production processes will also be practiced towards smart manufacturing at the new site to increase productivity while reducing waste and improving sustainability.

For what reason was the SAG website renewed?
Shih: Over 90 percent of SAG's customers are international, and the customer base is growing year by year. We expect further growth in the future. This requires a suitable web presence that appeals to partners and new customers worldwide and effectively communicates SAG's core competencies.
How are these competencies represented on the new website?
Shih: The new website conveys SAG's unique role as a tag solution provider. We combine expertise in RFID design, materials science and mechanical innovation. In doing so, we take on the most difficult RFID tagging challenges and develop customized solutions. Visitors to the website will get an overview of these competencies from conceptualization to prototyping to process integration of RFID tags for custom solutions.
