New Cable Tie Tag for Asset Management in Industrial Applications!

The new SAG Cable Tie Tag is now available in black and yellow with NXP NTAG 213, ICode SLIX and STMicroelectronics ST25TV02K NFC-compliant chips. In order to manage the inventory, record maintenance and repair, or to identify equipment and its location, objects can be fitted with an RFID cable tie.

Tamper-Proof Identification of Cables, Cylinders or Pipes

In particular, for a loose item, cylinder, or pipe with a rounded surface, mounting a hard tag or applying a smart label is more difficult than in a flat surface tagging use case. Meanwhile, the metal surface might bring interference to affect the RF performance.

To deal with these challenges, SAG creates cable tie tags available with NFC technology to fasten loose items while providing an ID number to facilitate the reading with NFC-enabled phones. This zip tie type RFID tag can be easily applied to items. This one-time-use cable tie cannot be removed without leaving a mark, which provides a tamper proof function to enhance its security level.
