Schreiner Group in First Place

For Schreiner Group, it is a resounding success: The globally active hidden champion headquartered in the Munich metropolitan area achieved a first-place TLMI Award—one of the most prestigious prizes in the American printing industry. The accolade went to the Piano Label entry submitted by the Schreiner ProTech business unit. This marking label enables fast yet permanent identification of valve blocks in passenger cars.

The annual TLMI Label Awards Competition of the U.S. Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) is focused on innovations and special technical achievements. A variety of high-tech products from Schreiner Group have previously won recognition in this competition. In 2022, the first-place award in the “Tag-Industrial and/or Systems” category went to Schreiner ProTech’s Piano Label.

A valve block controls the air suspension of a vehicle. Especially passenger cars in the premium segment frequently use air suspensions. The valve block has several air connections that must be installed correctly. To prevent mix-ups, the air hoses to be connected are coded with the same colors as the markings on the label. In addition, these functional labels are particularly rugged to resist the harsh conditions and high temperatures in engine compartments.

“I am particularly pleased that, once again, we were able to win first-place recognition in the TLMI Label Awards Competition,” says CEO Roland Schreiner. In 2007, based on his initiative, the high-tech company established its first international location in Blauvelt in the U.S. state of New York. The site employing more than 70 people locally manufactures products directly for the North American market.

“For us as a medium-sized company, the decision to establish our first international location was a major move,” Roland Schreiner recalls. “The new TLMI Award shows that we have succeeded in building an excellent reputation also in the United States.”
