Schreiner Group Receives Employer of the Future 2020 Award

Student Award for Sustainable Management Practices!

IKOM, the student career forum at Technical University of Munich (TUM), vbw, the Association of Bavarian Businesses, and TUM have recognized Schreiner Group as Employer of the Future 2020. The prize presented by the student initiative honors medium-sized companies for responsible and sustainable management practices.

The decisive criteria for the jury included Schreiner Group’s tremendous commitment to Bavaria as a business location, among other factors. IKOM, an interface between TUM students and industry, has presented the award for the third time.

IKOM’s Employer of the Future Award was initiated in 2018 to assist graduates in choosing an employer.

For students, ethical questions are playing an increasingly important role today: Which company should I apply to after earning my degree? Does the company act with a commitment to social responsibility? Can I fully identify with this employer based on my ideals? In the category of 500 to 1,500 employees, IKOM’s Employer of the Future Award 2020 went to Schreiner Group.

“We are very proud of this recognition,” says Roland Schreiner, CEO of Schreiner Group.

“As an agile, international family-owned and family-led business in the high-tech sector, we offer our employees a modern environment with exciting tasks and a wide variety of development opportunities. We deliberately assume responsibility for people, the environment and society, and expect our partners to act in the spirit of sustainability and exemplary ethical conduct as well. The fact that others see this in the same light and are now honoring our commitment in this way motivates us even more as we continue to pursue this path going forward.”

A wide variety of ethical criteria played a part in the specific selection of nominees: Does the company emphasize values and sustainability? Is the employer committed to Germany as a business location? What about entrepreneurial continuity? What entry-level and continuing career opportunities are available to graduates?

The jury comprised of leaders from the business community, academia and society as well as student delegates particularly stressed the strong dedication of the family firm to Bavaria, where the internationally successful high-tech company has been doing business and displaying strong corporate citizenship ever since it was established.
