The Chinese women’s fashion retailer, Ribo Group, is using the sustainable ECO RFID labels by Stora Enso in their clothing hangtags. Together with the hangtag provider Esquel, the collaboration that started in December 2019, will replace millions of traditional RFID labels with a sustainable alternative.
With both Ribo Group and Esquel focusing strongly on innovation and environmental responsibility, the unique, paper-based and recyclable ECO RFID tags were a natural choice. The award-winning ECO RFID Tag technology not only enables significant CO2 emission reductions compared to traditional RFID tags but the tags are also cost-competitive and performant.
“The collaboration allows us to gain the unique benefits of RFID in a way that aligns with our values and sustainability goals,” tells Ribo Group VP, Liang Lin.
“This decision aligns with our vision to offer our customer sustainable products so that we can create a better future together,” says Jenny Cui, Managing Director at Esquel.
