Who Are We?

40 years ago, Josef Mühlbauer founded the Mühlbauer Group alone and with a single machine at hand; today, with 4,000 employees and 35 production and service locations worldwide, we stand at the center of the semiconductor industry. However, the values from back then have remained. Machines for eternity, precision parts of the highest quality, perfectly tailored software - conceived, built and produced according to the strictest criteria of sustainability. To ensure and expand the technology and market leadership, Mühlbauer continuously invests in innovative products and processes. Our research and development centers with over 400 highly qualified engineers and technicians collaborate closely with customers and research institutions in order to efficiently launch reliable solutions in increasingly shorter development and production cycles.

What We Do?

More than 100 different highly sophisticated production systems in combination with intelligent software solutions for production management and personalization are the core of our Automation business unit. In addition to the turnkey solutions for high-quality ID document, Smart Card and Die Sorting systems for the semiconductor industry, we develop and manufacture innovative solutions for the RFID Smart Label production.

From the very beginning, Mühlbauer machines have set global technology standards in terms of speed, quality and flexibility. In 1995, we developed the world's first RFID inlay production solution and have since then been the driving force behind RFID production technology. Our mission is to always offer our customers the best price-performance ratio, coupled with the certainty of always being at the cutting edge of technology.

All of our equipment and the respective processes for antenna production, inlay assembly, converting and personalization perfectly fit together, to form the most efficient RFID production solution. The uniform equipment design furthermore enables easy operation and maintenance and allows the minimization of spare parts stock.

Keep everything under control! With our in-house Smart Factory Software MB PALAMAX®, all necessary production data will be collected, processed and clearly displayed in real-time. The prepared statistics and exact figures enable immediate intervention and thus significantly increase production effectiveness. The MB INCAPE software solution covers the management of the production processes with the complete organization, job, data and material handling. Both systems build the basis for a comprehensive Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which transforms what was once manual production into a smart entity.
