Tageos Further Expands Its Market-Leading Portfolio of Truly Sustainable RFID Inlays!

Tageos just achieved two milestones in its sustainability strategy: First, it announced the cooperation with All4Labels in the field of highly sustainable RFID inlays and tags. All4Labels, one of the world’s leading label companies and a pioneer in sustainable and digital packaging solutions, will supply Tageos with large volumes of antennas that comply with Tageos’ design, are based on FSC® certified paper, and made by precision laser cutting 4E™ technology.
Second, the French RFID innovation driver announced the first of its kind products to leverage that antenna technology and hence complement the existing EOS Zero portfolio: EOS-300 Zero Max, EOS-430 Zero Max and EOS-241 Zero Max, based on the latest generation of ICs from Impinj and NXP. Following the introduction of these products, Tageos now offers three categories of sustainable inlays for a wide array of requirements and applications: Zero Base, Zero Plus, and Zero Max.
Three Different Options for Highly Sustainable Inlays:
Though labeled as Zero Base, the very first option within the Tageos Zero program is at least as sustainable as Zero Plus and Zero Max, since it uses a vacuum deposition method to create functional, super-thin aluminum antennas on a biodegradable FSC certified paper substrate. The resulting flexible structure and the minimized use of aluminum render Zero Base inlays ideal for applications that combine maximum sustainability demands with less challenging environments and intended usage times.
To achieve the extreme robustness and longevity required for numerous applications in logistics and industrial manufacturing, for example, Tageos also offers its EOS Zero Plus inlays and tags, which retain the advantages of all the company’s high-performance inlay designs, and further help to significantly reduce carbon footprint without compromising on RF performance. As part of the EOS Zero product family, all Zero Plus inlays are 100 % plastic-free, 100 % heavy metal-free and 100 % conflict material-free.
…and Zero Max
Tageos did not rest on its laurels after introducing the Zero Base and Zero Plus options, however. Instead, we wanted to combine “Plus” robustness and longevity with a reduced carbon footprint, less waste, and optimum use of resources – features that can be achieved through superior antenna technology.
To gain access to the most sustainable antenna technology available today, Tageos sought collaboration with All4Labels. By partnering, Tageos can secure a supply of antennas made by precision laser cutting 4E technology. These antennas enable paper-based RFID inlays that are 100 % plastic-free, 100 % heavy metal-free, and 100 % conflict material-free. They are also highly efficient and create up to 70 % less waste and a carbon footprint up to 90 % smaller than PET-based antennas while providing superior RF performance.

The first of their kind: EOS-300, EOS-430, EOS-241 Inlays
Spearheaded by the recently introduced EOS-300 Zero Max inlay, Tageos’ Zero Max product line is rapidly growing, as underpinned by the launch of the new EOS-430 and EOS-241 Zero Max. Those inlays not only cover the same application areas, but also share the main characteristics and excellent performance of their conventional siblings. Available in bulk quantities, EOS-300 Zero Max and EOS-430 Zero Max have successfully passed the same ARC specifications as their PET substrate-based siblings, such as ARC spec F, G, I, K, L, M, N, Q, W1, W2, W3, W4, W5 and W6.
