Interview from Times-7 with Cisper on Partnership and Plans in 2022!
Cisper distributes Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) products internationally. AIDC products range from specialized RFID products to systems combining UHF RFID with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. By engaging Cisper as their distributor, RFID manufacturers can sell their products to system integrators and value-added resellers.
Carina Drost, the head of marketing and communications at Cisper, spoke with Times-7 about the Cisper/Times-7 partnership, and their plans for 2022.
What led Cisper to become a Times-7 Distributor?
Our relationship with Times-7 dates back to May 2010, when our two companies signed a Distribution Agreement. Mr. Ko Buijnsters, who represented Times-7 in Europe, approached us in 2009. Ko was a pragmatic person, which fit with Cisper's market approach. We collaborated with Times-7 on customer visits and European events. Times-7 also presented at the Cisper event in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, in 2010.
What does Cisper do, and what value does it add to customers?
Cisper focuses on RAIN RFID hardware and tags as an Auto ID distributor. With more than ten years of RFID experience, customers can expect a quick reply to all queries and profound technical and commercial advice. In addition to our strong RFID portfolio, Cisper continuously expands its Auto-ID offerings.
How have Times-7 antennas helped your customers?
For example, one of our Turkish partners was the first large user of the A5020 antenna. Its exceptional price-quality ratio and small form factor were a huge benefit for them. We are seeing an increase in our customers using your A5060 antenna due to its outstanding performance in portal applications.
We even received an award from Times-7 for our contribution to the success of the A5020 antenna.
What differentiates Cisper from other AIDC distributors?
Our extensive and well-maintained supply network means that Cisper clients benefit from concise lead times or direct delivery from stock. We offer very specialized solutions and hardware. For our competitors UHF RFID is often only one product group among many. For us, it is the main focus of our work.
What is the key to a successful technology partnership?
It is essential to be transparent and open when communicating about applications, customers, and projects.
What are the key advantages of RAIN RFID over other technologies?
Advantages include reading many IDs at once, reading tagged items (IDs) automatically, and not requiring a direct line of sight. Additionally, RAIN RFID provides real-time location monitoring of equipment from a safe distance without touching the items. During the global Covid-19 pandemic, this is a huge advantage.
What plans does Cisper have planned for 2022?
We are developing our brand strategy, we want to host another Cisper event, like the successful one held in 2010, and we would like to focus more on key suppliers.
