New RFID Products for Security Solutions Introduced!
The Chinese company Xiamen Innov Information Science & Technology Co. Ltd, or Xminnov for short, is expanding its RFID product portfolio. With the new RFID Seal Tags, Passive LED Tags and Sensor Tags, the company is opening up new projects in cold chain document and security management as well as in logistics.
RFID Seal Tags for Logistics Applications
The UHF RFID Seal Tag is a tamper and counterfeit resistant tag designed for tamper detection and theft protection in logistics. Applications include securing and tracking courier shipments, baggage, as well as ISO containers and unit load devices in maritime and aviation logistics.
The tag is protected by a plastic housing, measures 133 x 38 x16mm(or customized size) and is secured to a cargo container with a wire.Via RFID, the status of a tag is read at a distance of up to eight meters:
- UNLOCKED: Authenticity verification has been performed and the tag can be used.
- LOCKED: The tag has been attached and the freight container is secured.
- TAMPERED: The wire is damaged and the cargo container has been opened illegally.
- TAMPERED TRIES: The seal tag has been illegally reused.
The tag can be authenticated both on- and offline. An unauthenticated tag is displayed with the status "FAKE" during readout. The result: only authenticated tags are used for logistics and unauthorized access to freight in supply chains is prevented.
Object Identification and Localization with Passive RFID LED Tags
The passive UHF RFID LED tags have an LED light that is activated when read with an RFID reader. This is visible from up to two meters away.
The tags are suitable for rapid object identification and localization, for example in warehouses, medical facilities, libraries or industry. On-metal and anti-liquid variants as well as tags with increased temperature resistance are available for harsh environments.
RFID Sensor Tags for Temperature Control
Xminnov developed two kinds of UHF RFID sensor tags: semi-active and passive, which have a measurement accuracy of 0.2-0.5°C and can perform temperature measurements on a scale of -40°C to +80°C. The readout is possible from a distance of up to 6 meters.
The tags are designed for cold chain monitoring of food, vaccines and blood products, as well as temperature control in industrial applications. The tags measure temperature and create a temperature history that is stored in memory. When read by an RFID reader, this information is retrieved and displayed in a cloud service. Accurate temperature monitoring and control then takes place.
The completion of the market launch for the new products is ready.
