Great Demand for RFID Technology Products in 2021

Matrox Imaging for Various Applications

With the acquisition of Matrox Imaging, Zebra Technologies expands its portfolio in the area of automation and image processing solutions. Matrox Imaging is a proven developer of advanced components and systems for machine vision. The applications for this are many, Daniel Dombach, Director EMEA Industry Solutions at Zebra, explains: "Its capabilities include product detection, identification, positioning, measurement, extraction, inspection, and matching. This will enable us to enrich complex industrial workflows with even greater visibility, helping our customers automate repetitive inspection tasks and answer a wider range of questions related to build quality, fill rates, lot consistency, quantity validation and more."

Fetch Robotics for Warehouse Automation

Acquired in late 2021, Fetch Robotics has the industry's largest portfolio of autonomously moving robots (AMRs) and offers seamless integration with warehouse and manufacturing systems without requiring changes to equipment or infrastructure. Workflow Builder, Fetch's drag-and-drop workflow development studio, enables fast automation so customers and partners can deploy automated material handling workflows in short time. Above all, AMRs also help reduce the impact of labor shortages by improving throughput, efficiency, and productivity. By doing this, the staff’s workload is reduced, too, allowing more time for "qualified" tasks.
