Clinicians receive patient alerts through a new alarm management system on Zebra touch computers!
Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), an innovator at the front line of business with solutions and partners that deliver a performance edge, announced that Mindray Medical International has deployed Zebra TC52-HC touch computers to deliver critical patient alarms direct to front-line clinicians to streamline workflows.
This solution is in use at more than 200 hospital wards across Europe improving patient care and safety.

Mindray needed to centralize its patient alert system to prioritize critical alarms as well as increase clinician mobility and response. The global medical instrumentation developer collaborated with Software Team, a Zebra PartnerConnect Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and Premier Business Partner, AISCI Ident GmbH.
They recommended the TC52-HC touch computer as the most reliable, purpose-built healthcare device to support their SmartLink mobile application.
“Staff can be fully mobile whilst never missing an important alarm,” said Andreas Engels, Patient Monitoring Life Support, IT Product Manager PMLS Europe, Mindray Medical International. “Now all room monitors are connected to our centralized alarm management system, allowing clinicians to only enter individual patient rooms when necessary. The new solution reduces alarm noise and fatigue for medical staff, with only relevant and critical alerts sent to the touch computer of the correct clinician, at the right time. This enhances staff efficiency, operational workflows and patient care. Clinicians can also access patient monitors and basic medical details via the application on the TC52-HC.
