The aim is to ensure climate neutral operation of the Istanbul Grand Airport by 2050. The airport strategy: to monitor processes with sensors and use Big Data and AI to improve operative efficiency.

In the lecture, Bilal Yildiz presents the airport LoRaWAN network, as well as the latest use cases for smart monitoring. This includes smart waste water management, the management of critical infrastructure, as well as the monitoring of over 1,000 bathrooms in the airport terminals.
