Lufthansa Technik is a provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification services. In 2019, the company began its 5G project and successfully implemented two use cases: aircraft engine maintenance with 5G and aircraft construction with augmented reality.
Dr. Claudius Noack, who led the 5G project, and Lasse Tiede from Lufthansa Industry Solutions will present the use cases live. Furthermore, they will provide insights into the future with 5G as the company obtained a 10 year license to continue operating its own and independent 5G networks. This includes the rollout of a new 5G Smart Label Tracking device for logistics.
