CAEN RFID Aims to Expand Product Offerings for Customers
The Covid-19 pandemic has left its impact on companies worldwide. CAEN RFID, a leading manufacturer in Automatic Identification (AutoID) and RAIN RFID technology was no exception to the impact of the lockdowns and downtimes in 2021. However, the downtime in 2021 was used profitably for developing the CAEN RFID portfolio further.

A Fruitful Downtime
In 2021, CAEN RFID focused entirely on product development. With the lockdowns and halt in production, the expert team in Italy made use of the downtime to develop and expand the product portfolio of RFID hardware and devices.
“Our mission is to provide our customers and partners with the best selection of RFID devices that they can use to build upon their own solutions. We wanted to make sure that we have a good offering of devices that can span across many markets. In this way, 2021 was actually quite a fruitful year for us, as we have developed interesting new reader modules, and mobile readers”, says Stefano Coluccini, CFO at CAEN RFID. He continues: “In fact, one of our most successful portable mobile readers – the skID – was launched in 2021.”
Supporting Partners with New Product Offerings
In addition to the new products that were announced in 2021, CAEN RFID’s RFID modules had also achieved success elsewhere, as Stefano Coluccini explains: “Another announcement we made in 2021 was the promotion of an industrial reader manufactured by our German partner PTS Technology. This industrial reader was built around one of our RFID modules. This was a great achievement for us, as also we strive to support our partners in building their own devices based on our product offerings.”
