As an independent developer, manufacturer, and supplier of RFID hardware, B-Id has been providing the European market with high-quality products since its foundation in 2002. With previous experience in the field of RFID as a reseller, the experts at B-Id now possess over 20 years of expertise in transponders, smart cards, and hardware components. The company has transitioned from being solely a hardware supplier to offering customized hardware solutions.
From Standardized to Customized
B-Id’s portfolio began with standardized products: key fobs, smart cards, and tokens. This portfolio was later expanded to encompass RFID products with unique capabilities and designs. “B-Id offers robust RFID products for the LF, HF, and UHF frequency ranges that can withstand adverse environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures or aggressive chemicals,” says Erhard König, Marketing at B-Id. He continues, “Moving away from the standardized portfolio, we are now more focused on providing customized hardware solutions.”
Limitless Production Possibilities:
Operating in production facilities situated in China and Taiwan, B-Id manufactures up to half a million key fobs and approximately five million cards each month. With company-owned injection mold machines and experience working with various materials, the potential for customized production is boundless. “Using our in-house injection mold machines, we can develop RFID products tailored to individual customer applications. For instance, we produce RFID tags that can withstand temperatures of up to 250°C. Additionally, these machines allow us to manufacture pure plastic components,” explains König. Furthermore, logo application using laser engraving and tampon printing is feasible within the injection molding process.
