Change of Management at DENSO WAVE EUROPE

New Managing Director Takes Over at DENSO WAVE EUROPE!

DENSO WAVE EUROPE, member of the Toyota Group, bids farewell to their President & Managing Director, Keiichi Yamazaki, as well as to their Executive Vice President and Head of Sales, Luc Stals. The two decision makers helped DENSO WAVE EUROPE get on track, when the DENSO WAVE brand got its own representation in Europe. Theo Rappolt from Dutch based DENSO EUROPE will take over their responsibilities.

More information about DENSO WAVE EUROPE, their Auto-ID solutions, mobile computers such as handhelds, scanners, RFID and NFC readers, as well as innovative models of the QR Code can be found here.

Auto-ID solutions from DENSO, member of the Toyota Group, have been present in the European market for a long time. The team of dedicated experts for mobile data collection officially worked as employees of the brand Toyota Tsusho ID Systems or later TT Network Integration (TTNI-E). However, they always considered themselves part of DENSO. A few years ago, the DENSO WAVE brand got its own representation in Europe – a positive change.

The first President and Managing Director of the new organisation was Keiichi Yamazaki. He was initially sent to Europe from Japan in order to establish DENSO WAVE EUROPE as a brand with its own representation in Europe. Yamazaki is looking back and says proudly about his time in Europe: “Thanks to our colleagues’ contribution and customers’ patronage I was able to spend wonderful and exciting days in Europe.” However, two years after DENSO WAVE EUROPE’s successful foundation, it is time for him to return back home to Japan. “I will continue my journey with DENSO WAVE in the sales planning division, supporting the group globally”, he adds.

At Yamazaki’s side at DENSO WAVE EUROPE, part of the Toyota Group, was Luc Stals. Having joined Toyota Tsusho ID Systems back in 2004 as Head of Sales, he has played an important role for DENSO – not only because of his vast knowledge of the Auto-ID market, but also because of his determination and his role as a leading figure and mentor. “What has made working for this company most special to me are the people who give their all every day. To me, they feel like family,” says Stals. Two years after the successful foundation of DENSO WAVE EUROPE, Stals has seen the right moment arrive to pass on the baton and retire.

But where a door closes at DENSO WAVE EUROPE, member of the Toyota Group, another one opens. Following into his footsteps as Head of Sales, Theo Rappolt joined DENSO WAVE EUROPE just recently. Having worked for Dutch based DENSO EUROPE as Senior Director After Market and Industrial Solutions, Rappolt is no stranger to the DENSO group.

“Even though DENSO WAVE solutions are different from what Theo Rappolt was used to from his former position, I’m glad that someone from the DENSO family takes over,” says Yamazaki. “Knowing that, I can enjoy my retirement with peace of mind,” adds Stals jokingly.

For the European market, DENSO WAVE EUROPE is the contact point for all enquiries on QR Codes, mobile data collection, handheld terminals, and scanners. The durable and robust terminals and scanners manufactured by DENSO are to be found in storage, logistics, at the POS, in production, and field & sales automation applications.
