Growth Expected for the RFID Market in Years to Come
Mieloo & Alexander is a business integrator and solutions provider for Auto-ID, RFID and localization technologies. Despite still being a small company, they are one of the most successful providers of RFID solutions in the Benelux. Now, Mieloo & Alexander is looking to expand further.
Concept Development and Brand Improvements During COVID
The COVID crisis has had a negative impact on many markets. The RFID market was hit hard by industry investment freezes, short-time work at many companies and supply chain disruptions, for example. At the same time, the shutdown of production in many areas opened up opportunities for further research and development.
“Like many other actors in the field, we used the time to develop new concepts”, says Eiko Gramlich, Sales Manager for Germany at Mieloo & Alexander. “We also improved our website and worked on our branding. All of our software solutions now follow the same branding as the rest of our external presentation.” With most of the pandemic-related difficulties also removed, Mieloo & Alexander are now ready to hit the ground running.
“The RFID market is giving us a high pace at the moment”
Business analysts assume a compound average growth rate between 6 and 12 % for the RFID market in years to come. The demand for RFID and localization solutions has been quite high ever since business operations returned to normal levels. “Coming back now, the market is giving us a pretty high pace”, says Eiko Gramlich. Especially in fashion retail demand for RFID solutions has risen. Closed shops during the pandemic meant a sudden need for click & collect and similar solutions – which Mieloo & Alexander has been able to meet. A large share of current growth, however, derives from existing customers.
Eiko Gramlich explains: “Most RFID projects are growing over time. At the beginning, new customers are learning from us about the possibilities of RFID and other technologies such as laser sensors or vision systems. Then they come up with their own new use cases which we then implement.”
Mieloo & Alexander Aims to Increase Employment by 20%
In order to keep up with the current pace of growth, Mieloo & Alexander are seeking to expand their teams during 2022 by about 20 %. Key benefits for new colleagues include the company’s agility, flexibility and openness. Working groups are small and there are regular team events. The company headquarters near Schiphol Airport are modern and attractive. Most importantly, employees can grow in their career as Mieloo & Alexander support further education and career development. The DACH region is the main target of the expansion efforts. New employees are being sought primarily in Germany.
