Fast and Precise Assembly of Battery Cells and Fuel Cells
"The core technology of battery cell assembly is based on a high-speed stacker. This leads to a fully automated cell assembly line with complete process control and traceability for prismatic- and pouch cells," explains Magdalena Rupprecht, Sales Manager, Mühlbauer.
"A fully automated membrane electrode assembly line was developed for fuel cell production," Rupprecht continues. "Handling sensitive and flexible substrates in this production line is one of Mühlbauer's core competencies."
Both fully automated assembly lines offer 100% process control and traceability. "The machines aim to ensure high cost efficiency combined with the lowest possible energy consumption," emphasizes Magdalena Rupprecht. "Significant savings in energy, labor and space requirements are achieved."
Thermal and Safety Battery Management
Mühlbauer's battery management system (BMS) manages the entire operating cycle of electric vehicles. It monitors the safety of the battery system, temperature control, charge balancing and much more. The BMS can perform a wide range of functions depending on the application.
